Our friendship with Mike. and Stephanie, started when Matt, Jo and family moved into no 35 Claremont Road. We were parents to four, and grandparents to nine, so we had much in common from the family point of view. We have many happy memories of Mike, a devoted family man, and always good company, with a keen interest in sport particularly football and cricket. On our annual trip to Cornwall we greatly appreciated our refreshment stop off break at their lovely flat in Topsham and latterly their cottage. We will miss Mike very much, but feel lucky to have met and spent time with him, and Stepanie, over the last twenty years. Richard and Angie Musson

I take great pride in having been instrumental in bringing Michael and Stephanie together in the first place, back in 1960, which they kindly repaid two years later as Best Man and Bridesmaid at our wedding in Bristol. Mike and I were in digs together for a year in Exeter and then worked together in a bakery through the summer before the four of us went off for a holiday in Scotland.
